History tells us that Queen Cleopatra used to bathe her body in ass’s milk to enhance her beauty and the texture of her skin. But unless you happen to be the owner of a herd of asses, it’s not a very practical solution in this day and age. The best healthy skin solution is to adopt an organic skin care plan, and to stay out of the harmful rays of the sun.
Overexposure to Sunlight Undermines Even the Best Healthy Skin Solution
The use of facial pads as part of your organic skin care plan will help to clean and moisturize your pores, thus promoting good skin health. But if you over expose your skin to harmful ultraviolet for any length of time, any healthy skin solution you follow will be seriously undermined.
Staying Out of the Sun is the Only Answer
Far too many people believe that wearing a sun-block, eating a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, and using a daily moisturizer such as organic skin care pads, will counteract any harm that is caused through overexposure to sunlight. This is a totally false assumption. The Sun’s rays can cause serious damage; the problem being that the effect is cumulative.
The Depleted Ozone Layer
The depletion of the ozone layer has not made life any easier for some worshippers. Although the ozone layer has recovered somewhat in more recent years, incidences of melanoma (cancer of the skin) are at an all time high. Some types of skin are more able to cope with prolonged exposure to sunlight than others. Natives of sunnier climes have darker colored skin to help them deal with the problem.
The Function of Melanin
The body produces a substance called melanin, which is in effect how getting a suntan comes about. The problem is that repeated exposure to ultraviolet distorts melanin production and can result in blemishes such as sunspots or liver spots appearing on your skin. In the worst case scenario it causes skin cancer.
Irreversible Damage
Once blemishes such as liver spots (which, incidentally, are nothing to do with the liberal at all) have appeared, they are very difficult, if not impossible, to get rid of. No healthy skin solution, whether it be the use of moisturizers or organic skin care pads will be able to reverse the damage.
Ultra Violet Affects Elastin and Collagen
As well as causing blemishes and being a catalyst for melanoma, the sun’s rays also affect the elastin and collagen in the skin. These substances are what give your skin its suppleness and elasticity. As these substances come under attack, your skin will begin to age, and will become leathery and blotchy. No amount of moisturizing will be able to permanently reverse this process once it has set in.
Avoiding or Minimizing Exposure to Sunlight is the Only Solution
